You can either find your information first or find the pic of the animal first:
FINDING THE INFORMATION:
1. Look at the following websites for statistics or facts about conservation or a way to conserve energy or natural resources.
2. Write down your information, like you would be talking to someone and telling them about something or telling them what to do or what not to do.
FINDING THE PICTURE:
1. Find a picture of an animal on one of these sites who will "speak" the information you found. Look for a picture of an animal facing you. (If Mrs. Greenleaf is having you use Smokey Bear in Google Images, use the second one in from the left on the top row. Hold down the control key while you click on the image. A menu will appear and you can click on "save image as". If you click on it to make it big, and then try to control-click on it, you won't see "save image as". You can add your name to the title, but don't delete the .jpeg at the end. ("Hide extension" should be unchecked, so that you can see the .jpeg in the title.)
2. Click on the image to make it large.
3. You need to "download" or "save" the image (not copy). So, right-click on the image (Control-click if you are on a mac.)
4. Choose "save image as" or "download image as".
5. Rename it if you like. You can put your name in the title. Just don't delete the ".jpg" or ".jpeg" on the end!
6. Save it to your desktop or usb drive. USING BLABBERIZE:
1. Go to http://www.blabberize.com
2. Register for an account or log in if you already have an account. Click on "Sign up". You will need to enter an email address. Use your LMS gmail. You will need to enter a username and password. 3. Plug in your headphones so no one can hear the sound coming out. (If you are on a mac, you will need to record your voice using the little hole at the top of the computer.)
4. Continue through the Blabberize steps of drawing the mouth and recording your voice. (You cannot stop in the middle of this.)
5. Save it. You can put it on a wiki another time.
PUTTING IT ON A WIKI:
1. Log in to your Blabberize account.
2. Find the image you made and recorded.
3. Find where you can embed it. Copy the code.
4. Get into this wiki and sign in with the username:greenleafstudent; password: lms12345
